(Video) Parents and Teachers Speak Out Against Common Core in SW Louisiana

This video wasn’t available when I blogged about the town hall attended by 800 concerned parents and citizens in Calcasieu Parish. ┬áState Representative Brett Geymann who helped organize the event released a video late last week of some teachers and parents speaking at it. ┬áIt’s worth watching (and sharing).

  1. It was an awesome Town Hall Meeting! From that day forward, many more people became involved to rid our parish from Common Core, especially Eureka Math. The response has snowballed and has had an effect on other nearby parishes to follow suit. Get on board the Anti-Common Core Train and let’s drive Common Core out of our parishes, Louisiana, and the rest of the United States Of America. WE, THE PEOPLE CAN DO IT TOGETHER!

  2. That video was great, will share it, so thankful your teachers are speaking out against common core. Keep fighting for the kids and yes, it is way deeper than that. You have a voice, you have courage, God bless you all. We continue to fight in NY state also.
